Gabrielle Henry

Gabrielle Henry began her dance training at the age of 3, under the instruction of Jean Gedeon at the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company and School in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. She performed in many famous works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robins and many more. Over the years, she has attended New York City Ballet Saratoga, (Seasonal) Kirov/Universal Ballet Company, Chautauqua School of Fine & Performing Arts, American Ballet Theater, Point Park University, Bodiography Center for Movement, the American Dance Festival and most recently Vivid Ballet summer intensives. She then continued her training at Slippery Rock University in ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop with Nola Nolen-Holland, Ursula Payne, Teena Custer and Nora Ambrosio.

At SRU she was a student director for the SRU Dance Theatre and Senior Synthesis Concerts and the event coordinator of Sigma Rho Delta. She performed in the 60×60, Faculty and Guest Artist, SRU Dance Theatre, Senior Synthesis, and Independent Concerts as well as the repertory works of Nora Ambrosio and Helen Simoneau. She has also choreographed works for the Laban Movement Analysis, 60×60, SRU Dance Theatre and Senior Synthesis Concerts. She received her BA in Dance from Slippery Rock University in May 2016. From August 2017 to 2018 she danced with Vivid Ballet as a trainee under the instruction of Elizabeth McMillan. With Vivid Ballet she performed at many venues throughout New England, Pennsylvania and New York. Since 2013 she has been teaching at various studios in the Pittsburgh area and Connecticut. She looks forward to continuing her career in dance.
